Trauma-focussed therapy training
helping providers deliver the best care

The Trauma-focussed Psychological Therapy training program is interactive and skills-based, and suitable for experienced mental health practitioners. Two discrete programs cater to clinicians working with children and adolescents, or with adults. The training offers a comprehensive overview of evidence-based interventions, and the opportunity to practice and develop core skills for treating posttraumatic mental health problems arising from single and repeated trauma and disaster.
NEW in 2013 - post-workshop consultations
The training program comprises an initial two-day workshop, followed by three small-group consultations with an expert clinician for three months after the workshop to assist practitioners to use their new skills within their practice. These consultations will be provided via teleconference.
The workshop training experience is enhanced by the use of video clips of expert demonstrations. A comprehensive package of practitioner tools and client handouts is provided. The post-workshop consultations will enhance consolidation and application of skills.
ACPMH is an internationally recognised leader in the field of posttraumatic mental health, and our trainers are expert trauma clinicians.
